This EVOlution was our final production prototype unit and has performed flawlessly in its role as a demonstration machine. The only significant difference between this and the standard production EVO is that this unit was hand painted on completion rather than molded with gel coat. The down side is that it doesn't have that perfect high gloss finish. The positive side is that it is MUCH easier to repair if it gets damaged since you can easily touch up the paint.
Otherwise, this unit is nearly identical to the current production EVOlution. It is a joy to fly and we used this machine to prove all of the performance specifications you see on the website.
One big surprise we learned with this machine is how extraordinarily efficient the EVO can be with these professional grade Kawasaki engines. Fuel economy is significantly better than we ever expected with us averaging only 2 gallons per hour burned on a typical cruise!
